Bristol Airport is one of the largest private sector employers in the region, directly employing around 5,000 people and supporting several thousand further jobs. A critical part of the local economy, Bristol Airport acts as a gateway to the region for businesspeople and tourists, serving over 8.5 million people and providing over 125 destinations with access to the West of England when fully operational.

Bristol Airport has taken a pioneering role on sustainability and is working with aerospace partners across the region to deliver decarbonisation. Given the rapid increase in the number of developed countries making ambitious pledges to move towards net zero emissions, there is a significant opportunity for the aerospace cluster in our region to meet the sustainability challenge first, creating thousands of new, highly skilled green jobs.
